Introducing Yema x Alain Silberstein Marine Limited Edition Watch

A 3D Dial in a Titanium Case

YEMA is an independent French watchmaker based in Morteau, managed by the Bôle family, and prides itself on designing, prototyping, and assembling its timepieces in-house at its workshops in France. Since its founding in 1948 by Henry-Louis Belmont, YEMA has evolved through several key phases. From the outset, the brand focused on creating robust watches for extreme outdoor activities, including diving, motorsport, and military expeditions. Over the decades, YEMA gained a reputation for producing military-grade timepieces, with models like the YEMA Flygraf chronograph being used by the French Air Force and the YEMA Spationaute becoming the first Western European watch worn in space in 1982. In 2015, YEMA launched the MBP1000, an in-house caliber developed after four years of research and significant investment. By 2020, YEMA became the official partner of the French Armed Forces, designing tool watches that met strict military specifications.

Today, we are proud to present the latest achievement from the brand: the "Yema × Alain Silberstein Marine Limited Edition" watch, created in collaboration with renowned artist and watchmaker Alain Silberstein.

The case of this black DLC coated Grade 5 titanium watch combines sophisticated design with functional engineering. Designed by Alain Silberstein, the lightweight 40mm diameter and 11mm thick case features a unique matte finish, giving it a modern yet refined appearance. The dual crown system, one to operate the blue ceramic Cerakote finished inner diving bezel at 2 o’clock and the other to set the time at 4 o’clock adds a vintage-inspired aesthetic while offering practical functionality, making it ideal for diving with water resistance to 200 meters. The symmetrical design, highlighted by the straight and rounded lugs, gives the case a balanced and elegant look, while the double-domed sapphire crystal over the dial and the movement ensures both legibility and durability.

Alain Silberstein’s signature playful and colorful design is vividly showcased in this striking timepiece, where the matte black dial with a galvanic treatment serves as a bold backdrop for a dynamic array of elements. The bright red hour hand, shaped like a stylized triangle, stands out alongside the yellow arrow shaped minute hand and the blue Perlak seconds hand in the form of a starfish. The dial’s raised white 3D indices, fully coated with SuperLumiNova, create a dramatic sense of depth while ensuring excellent legibility in low light. A printed white minute track encircles the dial, and an inner rotating bezel in blue with 20-minute indices adds a touch of functionality. Together, these design elements embody Silberstein's distinctive blend of art and horology, making this watch not just a timekeeper, but a playful work of art.

The watch is powered by the Yema Calibre Morteau 20 (CMM.20), an automatic movement. It boasts a 70 hour power reserve, 33 jewels, and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). With an accuracy range of -3 to +7 seconds per day, the CMM.20 delivers exceptional precision and reliability. The movement is highlighted by a red tungsten micro-rotor and black galvanic treated bridges, while its resistance to magnetic fields adds to its durability. As a nod to the marine theme, two large koi swim gracefully around the sapphire crystal, adding a touch of artistry to its performance.

It comes with two FKM rubber straps in black and red burgundy, paired with a Grade 5 titanium deployant clasp, finished with a black DLC coating. The watch is a limited edition of 500 pieces and priced at USD 3,900 equivalent to AED 14,300.
