Responding to Collectors' Requests, Crafted in Titanium for Everyday Wear
Bovet timepieces are renowned for their distinctive, traditionally formal style that honors the brand’s history. Traditionally associated with straps, Bovet now embarks on a bold new direction with the Récital 12, seamlessly blending its rich heritage with a daily wear watch.
With the Récital 12, Pascal Raffy, who has owned the company since the 2000s, introduces the next chapter in Bovet’s legacy. His first bracelet watch redefines Bovet’s elegance in a more casual direction while maintaining its signature craftsmanship and attention to detail. "The Récital 12 combines high-tech materials with high horology," says Raffy. "It is a supremely comfortable timepiece that will change the way collectors view Bovet."
Made of titanium grade 5, the case of the Récital 12 is lightweight and sized at 40mm, providing exceptional comfort and wearability, making it an ideal timepiece from Bovet for everyday wear. The titanium used in the Récital 12 is entirely recyclable, reinforcing Bovet’s commitment to sustainability.
The bracelet is designed with meticulous attention to detail. and it is made of titanium too, Its ingenious folding clasp incorporates an expansion mechanism, allowing for up to 3mm of adjustability to accommodate minor fluctuations in wrist size throughout the day. The combination of polished and matte-brushed surfaces, along with the incorporation of the “V” of Bovet, creates a visually stunning and harmonious design. When the folding clasp comes together, the tips of the "V" form an infinity symbol.
The dial features an openwork design, with the hours and minutes displayed on an off-center sub-dial available in three color options: dark blue, emerald green, or turquoise lacquer. The movement is exposed to showcase Bovet’s in-house balance wheel and regulating organ, as well as a portion of the gear train providing energy from the single barrel. Atop the seconds wheel is a three-pronged running seconds indicator with three fire-blued hands. The offset dial is crafted entirely in-house, featuring Bovet’s iconic “Lotus Flower” guilloche with 12 petals representing the 12 hours. Fire-blued screws hold the dial in place, and it is coated with eight layers of rich lacquer. Just above the dial is the power reserve indicator, showcasing an impressive seven days of autonomy.
The Récital 12 features a brand-new movement. The baseplate of the movement, typically visible from the openworked dial, has been inverted for the Récital 12. This new baseplate has a circular bridge with Bovet engraved on it, designed to make the timepiece thinner. This new movement provides seven days of power reserve (168 hours) from a single barrel.
The price for the Bovet Récital 12 is set at CHF 29,800, which is equivalent to AED 122,500.
