A bold new step from the independent Swiss brand
Kross Studio is a young independent Swiss brand with a knack for blending fine watchmaking and contemporary pop culture. This year, the brand unveils a new collection, debuting the MT1 Chronomètre Tourbillon 7 Jours, which incorporates founder Marco Tedeschi’s signature complication, the tourbillon, paired with an impressive power reserve.
This watch inaugurates a fresh line of creations, designed and produced entirely in Kross Studio’s own manufacture. It features a modern 44mmx case crafted from Grade 5 ELI (Extra Low Interstitials) titanium, a purer variant of standard titanium that enhances toughness. The design omits visible lugs and crown, favoring a clean circular form with soft edges and a domed sapphire crystal that heightens ergonomic appeal. A circular satin-brushed finish, accented by polished chamfers, gives the case a sleek and elegant presence on the wrist.
The caseback draws inspiration from tranquil Japanese gardens, where the barrel bridge is adorned with a “Raindrop” motif that mimics ripples in still water. This motif offers a meditative contrast to the mechanical complexity visible from the front. In a clever twist, the crown is fully integrated into the caseback.
The dial is fully skeletonized, revealing the hand-finished bridges and openworked components of the caliber. A sandblasted black opaline flange with white decals frames the movement, ensuring strong legibility without detracting from the visual harmony. The hour and minute hands float above the movement, while a 60-second flying tourbillon is prominently positioned at 6 o’clock.
Powering the watch is the KS 7010 MT, a manually wound movement designed and built entirely in-house. Operating at 21,600 vph (3 Hz), it delivers an impressive 7-day (168-hour) power reserve via an oversized barrel that maximizes space efficiency on the main plate. Certified by COSC, the caliber ensures exceptional chronometric performance. It also features hand-chamfered bridges, dark ruthenium treatments, and openworked wheels.

The MT1 Chronomètre Tourbillon is fitted with an interchangeable strap system compatible with a wide variety of materials, including calfskin leather, alligator, textile, and rubber. Each strap can be easily swapped using a discreet push-button mechanism, and the watch is available with either a traditional pin buckle or a deployant clasp. The watch will be available in highly limited quantities, though the exact number has not been disclosed, and is priced at CHF 68,000, approximately AED 305,300.
