The sixth and last release from the independent brand’s most famous collection
Romain Gauthier is based in the Vallée de Joux, Switzerland. Founded in 2005 by Romain Gauthier who names the company after him, the brand has built a reputation for its distinctive designs, innovative in-house movements, and exceptional hand-finishing. One of its most known releases is the "C by Romain Gauthier" collection, introduced in 2021 as the Continuum. Since then, the brand has expanded this collection with five releases, all featuring a titanium case. Last year marked the release of the fifth edition. Now, the brand is launching the "C by Romain Gauthier Titanium Edition Six," the sixth and final edition of this time-only display collection.
The new watch remains faithful to the collection and comes in a natural grade 5 titanium case, measuring 41mm in diameter and 9.55mm in thickness. The case features polished and brushed finishes, sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating on both the front and back, and a crown at 2 o’clock with an orange rubber ring.
The watch features a partially open sapphire gray dial that reveals the seconds mechanism and escapement. The seconds wheel, prominently displayed through this opening, serves as both a mechanical component and a distinctive aesthetic symbol unique to the brand. Additionally, the partial dial opening showcases the escapement assembly, including the escapement wheel, balance, and pallet. The lower part of the dial features a decorative bridge showcasing a special hand-engraving technique.
The dial also features Super-LumiNova coated 18k white gold hour and minute hands, which are off-centered, along with applied numerals and indices. The small seconds subdial is positioned at 7 o'clock and highlighted in orange.
The C by Romain Gauthier Titanium Edition Six is powered by an in-house developed manual-winding caliber, featuring grade 5 titanium plates and bridges. Operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz), it offers a 60-hour power reserve. The watch comes with a gray rubber strap and a grade 5 titanium pin buckle. It is limited to 88 pieces, and priced at CHF 48,000, equivalent to AED 195,000.
