The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing New Santos de Cartier with a Dual Time Complication for The First Time

The iconic square cased pilot’s watch with a new complication

The Santos de Cartier is a renowned collection known for its distinctive square case and bold design. It's a watch that combines robustness with elegance, making it perfect for daily wear. The origin of the Santos watch dates back to 1904 when Louis Cartier created it for his friend, Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. Santos-Dumont needed a timepiece that could be worn on his wrist, allowing him to keep both hands free while flying. Cartier's innovative solution was the world's first custom-made pilot’s wristwatch, which became an icon of modern design.

Over the years, the Santos de Cartier has evolved, incorporating contemporary aesthetics while maintaining its classic charm. This year, the brand is adding a dual time function, years after the Santos watch first took to the skies. This new feature allows wearers to track time in multiple time zones, adding to the watch's practicality and appeal for those who travel frequently.

The Cartier Santos Dual Time features a stainless steel case measuring 40.2mm in diameter, 47.5mm in length, and 10.1mm in thickness. The iconic square design includes a 7-sided crown adorned with Cartier's signature sapphire cabochon with crown guards. The polished bezel, secured with 8 exposed screws, sits atop the case middle, which has a mix of brushed and polished finishes. The case-back is closed, ensuring water resistance up to 100 meters.

The anthracite-colored sunray dial showcases the iconic Cartier Roman numerals, a railroad-style minute track, and silver-colored sword-shaped hands. The date window is positioned at 3 o'clock to accommodate the dual-time complication, which appears at 6 o'clock. This sub-dial has a light gray background with a snailing finish and black numerals. Additionally, a small circle at the top of the sub-dial serves as a day/night indicator in gray and white.

The watch is powered by an outsourced automatic movement operating at a frequency of 28,800vph (4Hz), offering a 40-hour power reserve. This new model is equipped with an integrated stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp and a QuickSwitch interchangeable system. Additionally, the watch includes a supplementary anthracite-colored alligator leather strap. The price on the Santos de Cartier Dual Time is CHF 8,800 which is equivalent to AED 36,000.
