Introducing New Additions to The Carl F. Bucherer Manero collection

Carl F. Bucherer is a Swiss luxury watchmaker based in Lucerne, Switzerland. Established in 1888 by Carl Friedrich Bucherer, the company has remained a family-owned business for generations. Known for its exceptional craftsmanship and innovation, Carl F. Bucherer has developed a patented peripheral technology that sets it apart in the horological world. We saw this technology in two unique pieces at DWW 2023, and we also had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Renato Bonina, the Chief Sales Officer at Carl F. Bucherer, about them.

This year, the brand is expanding its iconic Manero collection with fresh aesthetics for the renowned Manero Flyback and Manero Peripheral models, along with the introduction of a new sub-collection, the Manero Urban.

Manero Urban

The new Manero Urban watch is designed with an elegant aesthetic that incorporates modern touches in a style not previously seen in the Manero collection.

The Manero Urban is a minimalistic timepiece, presenting a simple time and date display with a smooth and clean design. The watch features a stainless steel case measuring 38mm x 11mm and is available in four color options: blue, black, sand, and mocca. The dial has a sunray-brushed finish with a striped opaline, and also includes Super-Luminova coating on the hands for enhanced visibility. Powered by the CFB 1950 caliber, an automatic movement operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz), the watch offers a 38-hour power reserve. 

The Manero Urban is available with a textile strap made from Tide ocean material, a stainless steel bracelet, and a vegan leather strap. The variants with a strap are priced at USD 4,400 (equivalent to AED 16,200), while the bracelet version is priced at USD 4,900 (equivalent to AED 18,000).

Manero Peripheral

The Manero Peripheral embodies the ethos of Carl F. Bucherer, featuring a peripherally mounted automatic winding system. Part of the Carl F. Bucherer collection since 2016, the Manero Peripheral now boasts a new and elegant aesthetic. The watch comes in a stainless steel case measuring 40.6 mm in diameter and 11.2 mm in thickness. It shares the same dial aesthetic as the new Manero Urban, and is available in black, blue, and silver. Additionally, the dial features a date window at 3 o'clock and a small seconds sub-dial positioned at 6 o'clock.

The watch is powered by the in-house CFB A2050 caliber, a COSC-certified automatic movement that operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and provides a 55-hour power reserve. It comes with a hybrid rubber strap in blue and black leather, priced at USD 7,900, equivalent to AED 29,000. It is also available with a stainless steel bracelet at a price of USD 8,400, equivalent to AED 30,900.

Manero Flyback 

The Manero Flyback stands out as one of the brand's top-selling chronographs, typically available in either 43mm or 40mm diameters. This year, the 40mm variant comes in a stainless steel case measuring 14.45mm in thickness, with a gray bi-compax dial that boasts a sunray finish and is encircled by a tachymeter scale. Choose between a gray vegan textile strap or a nine-link steel bracelet to complement the look. 

For the 43mm variant, a range of options awaits, including an 18k rose gold case that also measures 14.45mm in thickness, with a silver or blue dial, as well as steel models with a silver, black, or blue-gray dial. Match your preference with a black, beige, or gray textile strap, or opt for a brown or blue calfskin leather strap.

Both variants are powered by the CFB 1973 caliber, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. This automatic movement features a flyback function and a column wheel, operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offering a 56-hour power reserve. The rose gold variants are pierced at USD 18,500, equivalent to AED 68,000. The steel variant with the steel bracelet is priced at USD 7,700, equivalent to AED 28,300, while the variants that comes with a strap are priced at USD 7,400, equivalent to AED 27,200.
