A Collaboration with Ferreira Marques Paying Tribute to Lisbon’s Iconic Tram 28
MeisterSinger has joined forces with Joalharia Ferreira Marques, a renowned watch and jewelry retailer in Lisbon, to unveil a unique tribute to one of the city’s most beloved icons. The MeisterSinger × Ferreira Marques Edition Elétrico 28 (€2,560) is a vibrant homage to Lisbon’s legendary yellow tram, known as Elétrico 28.
Bold, bright, and full of character, Tram 28 has been winding through Lisbon’s narrow, steep streets for decades—passing scenic viewpoints, historic neighborhoods, and sharp turns with timeless charm. Drawing inspiration from this cultural icon, MeisterSinger and Ferreira Marques have created a limited edition of just 28 individually numbered timepieces, each capturing the essence of the tram and the city it serves.
Encased in a 40mm stainless steel case, the Elétrico 28 reflects MeisterSinger’s signature aesthetic, defined by smooth, rounded lines and an elegant silhouette. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the exhibition caseback—secured with six screws—reveals the automatic movement inside.
The caseback’s sapphire glass is printed with a Tram 28 motif and the individual edition number. The stainless steel rim is also engraved with the edition number, emphasizing the watch’s exclusivity. An oversized, conical crown ensures easy winding and time-setting, while the case offers water resistance up to 50 meters.
The dial is rendered in the tram’s unmistakable yellow, accented with subtle red details that echo the tram’s vintage interior. A single, black needle-shaped hand—a MeisterSinger hallmark—traces the dial over a 12-hour period, encouraging a slower, more contemplative reading of time. A round date window with a white background is discreetly positioned above 6 o’clock.
Inside, the watch is powered by the Sellita SW200 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and offering a 38-hour power reserve.
Each watch comes fitted with a grey suede leather strap and includes an additional handmade strap crafted from 100% Portuguese cork, paired with a stainless steel pin buckle. Limited to just 28 pieces, the MeisterSinger Elétrico 28 Edition is priced at EUR 2,560, approximately AED 11,000.
