Three sporty releases pay tribute to Louis Erard's heritage in La Chaux-de-Fonds
Louis Erard introduced the La Sportive collection in 2020, targeting those who appreciate a fusion of sporty and classic style. The collection masterfully blends the brand's timeless elegance with robust functionality, appealing to watch enthusiasts who seek both performance and sophistication. Now, the collection has been rebranded as "2300," paying tribute to Louis Erard's heritage in La Chaux-de-Fonds, reflected in the town’s postal code, while also hinting at the exciting years ahead. This new identity is marked by a limited-edition trio of chronographs, offering a vintage aesthetic with bold colors, dynamic time display, and the brand's signature vertical time-reading style.
Louis Erard has a deep affinity for numbers, with each limited edition and collaboration carefully numbered in symbolic ways, leaving no room for coincidence. This new iteration features a 44mm x 15mm Grade 5 titanium case, a black ceramic bezel, and a sapphire glassbox that sits over the dial. The case also includes a screw-down transparent caseback, through which the movement is visible.
The sleek black dial variant stands out with a striking rainbow gradient minutes track, while the khaki-orange and light blue-yellow variants showcase vibrant tones that flow seamlessly from the strap to the hands of the minutes and hours counters, as well as the minutes track. This trilogy focuses on bold display and optimal readability, prominently featuring the 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and the small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. Additionally, the day and date windows are positioned at 3 o’clock.
The watch is powered by the iconic ETA 7750 Valjoux, an automatic chronograph movement operating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) with a 48-hour power reserve. It features a special openworked oscillating weight adorned with a black lacquered Louis Erard symbol, adding a unique touch to the timepiece’s mechanics.
Each watch in this trio is limited to 99 pieces and is priced at CHF 3,333, equivalent to AED 14,500.
