A unique piece that carries all the company's distinction in celebration of the Year of the Dragon
Over the past seven years, Jacob & Co. has consistently introduced fine dragon-themed watches. Now, two days before the start of the Chinese New Year, the year of the Wooden Dragon in the traditional Chinese calendar, Jacob & Co. has introduced a new and unique piece, “The Mystery of the Twin Dragons,” where the majestic mystery of the mythical creature and exceptional craftsmanship come together.
Jacob & Co. has created numerous timepieces to celebrate the Year of the Dragon, each piece an artistic creation with intricate detailing, featuring rose gold sculptures that have been hand-worked, finished and painted to perfection. While some may recognize the importance of Chinese New Year, for Jacob & Co., it represents an opportunity to increase creativity. It serves as an incentive to further explore a theme that the brand constantly embraces exclusivity.
The new edition represents the pinnacle of what the company has achieved in merging fine watchmaking and artistic crafts. It comes in a rose gold case with a diameter of 50 mm, decorated with 192 hexagon-cut white diamonds totaling 12 carats that sparkle on the side of the case and the lugs, while the frame remains without studs as it is made of domed sapphire crystal treated with two anti-reflective layers. The Mystery Tourbillon case does not have a traditional crown. Instead, time setting and winding of the movement are done via a couple folding crowns located at the back of the case which is also made of rose gold.

The Mystery Tourbillon Coiled Dragon represents the pinnacle of haute horology and Métiers d'Art. Encased within large case made of rose gold with 50-mm diameter, adorned with 192 white hexagon-cut diamonds totaling 12 carats seamlessly integrated into the case band, lugs, and bezel, Jacob & Co. has unveiled a collection dedicated to singular pieces featuring exquisitely crafted dragon figurines over the past seven years. The Mystery Tourbillon case doesn’t have a traditional crown. Rather, time and movement winding are done via fold-out “bow” adjusters located on the rear of the case.
The dial of this singular masterpiece showcases a pair of miniature dragon sculptures set against two rotating rings in rose gold. Entwined around the expansive tourbillon sphere and each other, these dragons, meticulously fashioned from rose gold and hand-lacquered, soar amidst stylized clouds, their heads in perpetual pursuit of a Pearl of Wisdom. These pearls, two large Jacob-cut diamonds boasting 288 facets each, serve as the hours and minutes hands, respectively, with the hour indices marked by 12 baguette-cut white diamonds totaling 1.49 carats.
Featuring a world-exclusive movement, the only flying, central, twin, triple-axis, back-to-back tourbillon, the hand-wound JCAM32 movement comprises 430 components and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz). At its heart lies a central, flying, twin, triple-axis tourbillon with the following rotations: 1st Axis: 60 seconds, 2nd Axis: 120 seconds, 3rd Axis: 120 seconds.
This extraordinary timepiece comes with a red alligator leather strap complemented by an 18K rose gold folding buckle, with pricing available upon request.
