A more compact release with three new dial colors
Citizen is known for its reliable watches and beautiful designs, and one of its iconic releases is the Tsuyosa collection, inspired by the look of the NH299 series, one of the brand's best-selling mechanical watch lines in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Now, Citizen expands this collection with a new, more compact version: the Tsuyosa 37mm.
The original Tsuyosa gained popularity for its sporty elegance, dial colors, and dependable movement which all came at an accessible price point. However, its 40mm size wasn't for everyone. By introducing a 37mm version, Citizen caters to those who prefer a smaller, more versatile option, demonstrating a keen awareness of the growing demand for smaller watches.
The watch features a stainless steel case that measures 37mm in diameter and 11.5mm in thickness. The case is polished and brushed to enhance its sleek, modern look, and the crown is subtly positioned at 4 o’clock. The watch is topped with a flat sapphire crystal featuring a date magnifier, and it is water-resistant up to 50 meters. The see-through caseback provides a glimpse of the automatic movement powering the watch.
Citizen introduces three new dial colors for the 37mm version: Ice Blue, Pastel Pink, and Dark Green. Each dial features a sunray-brushed finish that plays beautifully with the light. The applied indices and hands are treated with luminescent material, ensuring excellent legibility. The date window is positioned at 3 o’clock.

The watch is powered by Citizen's in-house Calibre 8210, an automatic movement that runs at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz) and offers a power reserve of about 42 hours. The Tsuyosa 37mm retains the vintage-inspired multi-link stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp and push-button release seen in the 40mm version. This 37mm version is priced at USD 450, which is approximately equivalent to AED 1,700.
