The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Ciga Design Unveils New Edition to Celebrate the Year of the Snake

jadeite case and Golden Snake Tell the Time

Ciga Design founded in 2016. The company's core creative team, consisting of internationally renowned cross-disciplinary designers, adheres to the Bauhaus principles of "form follows function" and "less is more". The brand is committed to creating meaningful timepieces through profound design, injecting new life and spiritual depth into the industry. Since its founding, Ciga Design has been honored with 17 international design awards for its outstanding original designs. One of the latest releases this year is the "Year of the Snake" watch, celebrating the upcoming Chinese Year of the Snake.

The watch case is made from black jadeite, a rare and durable mineral from the clinopyroxene family. In keeping with zodiac traditions, it is crafted from traditional black jadeite, a material with a rich history spanning thousands of years. The case is complemented by an engraved crown and protected by a sapphire crystal. With a diameter of 46 mm and a thickness of 15 mm, the watch offers a water resistance of up to 30 meters.

The black dial features a rotating snake, symbolizing vitality, which serves as both the hour and minute hands, powered by CIGA’s patented “Asynchronous Follower” technology for precise timekeeping. The snake’s head indicates the hours, while its tail represents the minutes. The hour ring remains stationary, while the minute ring moves, followed by the snake’s tail, allowing for precise time reading as the snake points to the white numerals and tracks on the rings. The satin-finished, gold-plated snake at the center of the dial is set against an abstract pattern resembling a snake’s scales, which meanders across the dial. This design reflects the dynamic nature of the snake and symbolizes the prosperity and vitality of the Year of the Snake.

The watch operates with a self-winding automatic mechanical movement, offering a power reserve of 40 hours. It features a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). It comes with a black rubber strap featuring a snakeskin pattern that matches the dial design and steel pin buckle, at price CHF 2,000 approximately equivalent to AED 8,800.
