Louis Erard Collaborates with GoS on the Latest Edition of Le Régulateur

In December 2021, Louis Erard and GoS Watches were brought together by Manuel Emch, the visionary behind Louis Erard's strategic revival and creative transformation. He found a kindred spirit in Patrik Sjögren, watchmaker and founder of the Swedish atelier GoS, renowned for its mastery of Damascus steel.

Together, they envisioned a timepiece that would seamlessly blend the essence of both Maisons: the technical precision and aesthetic refinement of the Swiss Jura, married to the artistry of a Swedish forge, where Damascus steel is meticulously crafted into mesmerizing patterns through an almost alchemical process.

Introducing Bernhard Lederer Central Impulse Chronometer now in 39 mm

The iconic piece from the independent watchmaker gets a more elegant look

During Geneva Watch Days 2023, the Central Impulse Chronometer Series 3 and Series 4 was released. Highlighting an innovative escapement mechanism that has garnered global acclaim, the Central Impulse Chronometer showcases Bernhard Lederer's expertise. Encased within a 44mm case, Lederer's mastery is evident in the symphony of horological engineering, including a constant-force escapement and a dual gear train. This intricate design results in a beautiful display of two synchronized seconds hands moving in opposing directions, exemplifying the pinnacle of horological craftsmanship.

Now, after enhancing the design and movement, the Central Impulse Chronometer comes in a smaller 39mm case, crafted in either white or rose gold with a slim bezel, and it retains a domed sapphire crystal on top and a sapphire crystal caseback, providing a glimpse into intricate details. Additionally, its overall height is reduced from 12.2mm to 10.75mm.

The CIC 39mm model is available with a blue dial for the white gold version or a gray dial for the rose gold version. Additionally, the distinctive interlocking circles forming a figure-eight for the double small seconds sub-dials have undergone slight changes, the top one remains open while the bottom one is closed.

The movement maintains a similar construction to previous editions but has been slightly resized to accommodate the smaller case size. Nonetheless, it retains independent components such as two barrels, two gear trains, two constant-force mechanisms, and two escapement wheels. This manual winding movement operates at 21,600vph (3Hz) and provides a power reserve of 38 hours. Both watches come with either black or brown saddle-stitched leather strap depending on the case material, and each is limited to 20 pieces with a price of CHF 136,800 which is equivalent to AED 568,000.
