A Sporty and Elegant Chronograph Celebrating the Thrilling World of motorsports
It’s no secret that Bell & Ross is linked to aeronautics. However, we are also aware of its forays into the world of motorsports. This exciting adventure, combining design, technique, and performance, began in 2011 when Bell & Ross joined forces with Shaw Harley-Davidson to create a unique motorcycle: The Nascafe Racer Bell & Ross. Bell & Ross has also collaborated with the Alpine F1 Team, launching the BR 05 Chrono A523, these watches combine the brand's signature style with mechanical sports. Now a new chapter, Collaborating with with Sacha Lakic the designer and founder of Blacktrack Motors, known for his diverse projects in automotive and industrial design, The BR 03-94 Blacktrack complements the Blacktrack BT-06 motorcycle, a collaborative creation by Lakic and designers from Bell & Ross.
The watch maintains the distinctive Bell & Ross family aesthetics but stands out as a unique offering within the maison's collection. It features a 42mm matte black ceramic case. A noteworthy aspect of this timepiece is its bezel, the signature square design with additional beveled corners, resulting in a distinctive octagonal appearance when viewed from the top. The sleek black ceramic case provides an understated yet effective backdrop. The watch is crowned by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating for enhanced visibility, alongside Bell & Ross screws that are retained as a design element.
The new BR 03-94 BLACKTRACK dial resembles the motorcycle dashboard, continuing Bell & Ross tradition of translating cockpit instrument precision to the wrist. For the first time, both subdials adopt the specific design of motorcycle dashboard counters, with the counter at 3 o'clock indicating the small seconds and the counter at 9 o'clock measuring the 30 minutes. The connection to motorcycle instrumentation is evident, with the red hue enhancing watch readability. The flange and indices, as well as the skeletonized hands, are treated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions.
To mark the ever-existing connection between Bell & Ross and Motorcycles, the BR 03-94 BLACKTRACK chronograph can be inserted in the center of the Blacktrack BT-06 motorcycle console, allowing the instrument watch to be moved from wrist to dashboard.
Nestled within the timepiece is the automatic BR-CAL.301 caliber, based on ETA 2894-2 movement. This mechanism operates at 28,800 VPH and boasts 42 hours of power reserve, ensuring long-lasting and reliable performance.
The black calfskin strap, hemmed with a red edge and lined with high-resistance technical material. The strap closes with a steel pin buckle with black PVD coating, while the quilting on the strap itself is a nod to the rider’s suits.
This watch is limited to 500 pieces, with a price of CHF 6,600 which is equivalent to AED 27,200.
