Expanding one of the brands iconic collections with new aesthetics
The Baume & Mercier Classima represents a contemporary interpretation of the brand's horological heritage spanning nearly two centuries. Introduced in 2016, the Classima embodies the elegance of traditional timepieces while integrating modern functionalities like GMT and chronographs. This year, the brand is enriching its renowned collection by unveiling three new chronographs in distinct color variations.
Crafted from stainless steel, the Classima chronograph boasts a polished case measuring 42mm in diameter and 13.2mm in thickness. Safeguarding the dial is a sapphire crystal, and positioned at 2 and 4 o'clock are the pushers to control the chronograph functions, one pusher initiates and halts the chronograph, while the other resets the counters.
The dial options include blue with gold-tone accents, sand color with gray counters, and green with black counters, all featuring a sunburst finish and three snailed counters. Positioned at 12 o'clock is a 30-minute chronograph counter, while day and date indicators are found at 3 o'clock. At 6 o'clock rests a 12-hour chronograph counter, with a small seconds sub-dial positioned at 9 o'clock. The dial is adorned with leaf-shaped hands and polished applied baton indices.

The new timepieces are powered by the Valjoux 7750, which can be seen through the sapphire crystal case back. This movement has served as the essential horological foundation for numerous brands both preceding and following the Quartz crisis. The movement operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and provides a 48-hour power reserve.
