Introducing PS Horology Launches Its First Releases: The Tsuba Blue Edition & Dong Son

The company used their rubber bezel on a gold case for the first time
Audemars Piguet defines the Royal Oak Offshore collection as watches known for their colors, materials, and sporty design without straying from the company's iconic aesthetic. The company presents two new versions of the Royal Oak Offshore, maintaining the same principle through bright colors, advanced materials, and, of course, multiple sizes and strap options. It offers a version that displays only the time and date and a flyback chronograph watch.
While the chronograph version comes with a steel case, the Self-Winding 37mm version comes with a gold case and a rubber-coated bezel. We saw this combination at the beginning of the year when Audemars Piguet launched its new collection. The company unveiled the Royal Oak Offshore Self-Winding 43 mm watch, which combined a stainless steel case with a rubber bezel and is one of the rare “offshore” watches that does not contain a chronograph.
Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding 37 mm
The watch comes with a 37 mm 18-karat gold case, designed as an option to suit smaller wrists, with a thickness of 12.1 mm.
The twist here is that the gold bezel is coated with grey rubber, surely a first in gold watches. The grey rubber is matched by a grey flange surrounding the dial.
The ivory-hued dial comes with a guilloché pattern and a mirror-polished “Grande Tapisserie” pattern, pink gold applied hour markers, and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating.
It’s equipped with caliber 5900, Audemars Piguet’s ultra-slim automatic movement, a three-hand with date, released in 2022. It has 60 hours of power reserve and operates at 28,800vph (4Hz), made by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, the same movement used in the latest Code 11.59 editions.
To match the design of the watch, it comes with a mosaic-style rubber bracelet that adds a decorative touch. It can be swapped out for black for more contrast. The watch is priced at 41,100 CHF, which is equivalent to 178,000 AED.
Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph
The Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Flyback Chronograph, another 43 mm steel option, retains a steel bezel instead of rubber, with crown and push-pieces executed in black ceramic.
The smoked bronze Mega Tapisserie dial is Habanos-inspired, according to AP, with darkened edges extending to the lighter center. The flange and subdials are black to match, with a white tachymeter printed on the flange.
Powering the watch is the automatic caliber 4401, Audemars Piguet’s integrated flyback chronograph, introduced in the Code 11.59 collection in 2019, and recently seen in the Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph 41mm in yellow gold. Now used in the Royal Oak line, it uses a column wheel with a vertical clutch. It has a 70-hour power reserve.
The brown alligator strap with a stainless steel pin buckle comes with a second black rubber strap. The watch is priced at 41,100 CHF, which is equivalent to 178,000 AED.
