The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Alpina Unveils Alpiner Extreme Freeride World Tour Edition

A sporty timepiece celebrating the 18th Freeride snowboarding competition

As an official partner of the Freeride World Tour (FWT) since 2018, Alpina has proudly introduced the Alpiner Extreme Automatic Freeride World Tour Special Edition, a watch engineered to excel in the rigorous conditions of extreme outdoor sports. the 18th season of the Freeride World Tour, athletes will compete in five thrilling events, culminating in the grand finale in Verbier, Switzerland, from March 22–30, 2025.

The Freeride World Tour (FWT) is an annual international competition that showcases the world’s best freeride skiers and snowboarders. Participants compete by descending challenging off-piste (ungroomed) slopes, often in remote mountainous areas, performing jumps, tricks, and maneuvers while navigating natural terrain features like cliffs, rocks, and steep inclines.

Housed in a 41 mm x 42.5 mm cushion-shaped stainless steel case with a brushed finish, the watch features a total thickness of 11.5 mm. Its standout design includes a round bezel secured by six screws, each shaped like Alpina’s iconic triangle logo.

This signature motif is echoed on the screw-down crown, which is enhanced with a rubber grip matching the dial’s color. With a water resistance of up to 200 meters, the timepiece is built to withstand the demands of extreme sports.

The black dial is adorned with Alpina’s famous triangle pattern, complemented by luminous white hands and hour markers for optimal legibility. At 6 o’clock, the Freeride World Tour logo is prominently displayed, adding a distinctive touch. Alpina’s triangle logo also appears on the dial and the seconds hand counterweight, a nod to the Alpine peaks that inspire the brand. A date window at 3 o’clock is seamlessly integrated with a black background, maintaining the watch’s cohesive aesthetic.

Powering the Alpiner Extreme Automatic Freeride World Tour is the self-winding AL-525 calibre, derived from the reliable Sellita SW200-1, a renowned movement frequently featured in Alpina’s collections, most recently in the Alpina Seastrong Diver Extreme Automatic edition. Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offering a 38-hour power reserve. The custom black rotor and the movement itself are visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, adding a touch of sophistication to the watch's design.

Completing the sporty design is a durable black rubber strap, ensuring comfort and reliability during high-intensity activities. Priced at CHF 1,695 approximately AED 6,800.
