Four limited editions pay tribute to the German brand's iconic timepiece
A. Lange & Söhne A. Lange & Söhne Celebrates 30 Years of the Iconic Lange 1 with Four Exclusive Limited Editions. Unveiled on October 24, 1994, the Lange 1 quickly became the emblem of A. Lange & Söhne, thanks to its distinctive design and exceptional craftsmanship. Now, 30 years later, the Saxon watchmaker celebrates this milestone with four exclusive limited editions. As with the 25th anniversary of their Datograph collection, the brand's renowned chronographs, A. Lange & Söhne has once again made this anniversary celebration something truly special.
The new release includes two standard Lange 1 models and two Little Lange 1 watches, each available in either platinum or pink gold. The platinum versions feature dials made from onyx—marking the first time this semi-precious stone has been used in a Lange 1—while the pink gold pieces come with blue dials crafted from 925 silver.
Characterized by their slender bezels and prominent lugs, the Lange 1 case has a diameter of 38.5 mm, while the Little Lange 1 measures slightly smaller at 36.8 mm. Both versions are available in pink gold or platinum, with sapphire crystals on the front and back.
The dial retains its iconic off-center configuration and the signature Lange outsize date, maintaining the fascination that has captivated collectors for three decades. The hour and minute circle, with Roman numerals and lancet-shaped appliques, is positioned on the left, while the outsize date, power reserve indicator, and subsidiary seconds are arranged on the right in perfect vertical alignment. The proportions of these elements follow the golden ratio, ensuring a harmonious and timeless design.

As mentioned, the platinum models feature onyx dials, while the pink gold versions boast blue dials made from 925 silver.
At the heart of all four models is the L121.1 manufacture caliber, first introduced in 2015 as the brand's 50th movement. It beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a 72-hour power reserve, thanks to its twin mainspring barrels. Through the sapphire crystal case back, the expertly hand-finished movement can be admired in all its glory.
Each watch comes with a black alligator leather strap, with a pin buckle in either rose gold or platinum, matching the case material. Both Lange 1 models are limited to 300 pieces each, while the Little Lange 1 variants are even rarer, with only 150 pieces per version.

As for pricing, the Lange 1 in pink gold is listed at EUR 49,800, which is approximately AED 197,500. The prices for the other three editions are available upon request.
