Another collaboration with the french designer showcasing a fresh and elegant gray hue
Louis Erard has gained widespread acclaim for its innovative and creative approach to watchmaking. The brand has become synonymous with exquisite craftsmanship and artistic collaborations. Notably, Louis Erard has partnered with esteemed French designer Alain Silberstein on several distinguished projects. Last year, this collaboration culminated in the release of three unique watches in khaki, alongside the introduction of Louis Erard's first tourbillon watch. Following the great success of the khaki edition, the brand subsequently released it in black.
Now, the brand is once again collaborating with the French designer, and unveiling the Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Smile-Day in gray. Similar to the “La Soman” edition, the new watch features a 40mm microblasted (sandblasted on a micro level) Grade 2 titanium and Grade 5 titanium openworked round-shaped case, with arched bars extending to form the lugs. The watch’s thickness measures 11.60 mm, and it has a lug-to-lug distance of 47mm, ensuring a perfect fit on the wrist size. It also features sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides.

The watch also includes an Alain Silberstein red lacquered signature crown with the Louis Erard symbol, and the case back is engraved with "Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein 1 of 178." The watch features a glossy gray dial with a signature Alain Silberstein day disc ("Smiledays"), where days are represented not by names but by playful smileys—stylized faces symbolizing various moods—and a date at 6 o'clock. The flange has an elegant white hue with blue indexes and a red index at 12 o’clock. The hands are in Alain Silberstein's signature style, with a red triangular hour indicator, a blue arrow-like minute hand, and a yellow squiggly seconds hand.
The watch is powered by the Sellita SW220-1 calibre, an automatic movement operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offering a power reserve of 38 hours. It features an openworked oscillating weight adorned with the black lacquered Louis Erard symbol. The watch comes with a gray nylon and strap with a Grade 2 titanium hook-and-loop fastener system for rapid adjustment.

The new Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Smile-Day is limited to 178 pieces, and priced at CHF 4,000, equivalent to AED 16,500.
You might wonder, "What sets apart every Louis Erard collaboration?" Each one embodies rebellious codes that reflect the brand's bold vision where they merge Swiss craftsmanship with artistic flair, emphasizing simplicity in both design and technical execution. These collaborations dare to challenge norms, innovate, and use existing works as launching pads for creativity.
