A limited edition inspired by the aesthetics of the AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team
IWC is known for its unique engineering approach to watchmaking, combining human craftsmanship and creativity with cutting-edge technology. Today, the brand introduces the Big Pilot’s Watch Shock Absorber XPL Toto Wolff x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, a limited-edition timepiece created in partnership with Toto Wolff, the nickname of Torger Christian, an Austrian billionaire investor, motorsport executive, and former racing driver. He is the current CEO of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team.
The watch's standout feature is its advanced patent SPRIN-g PROTECT shock absorber system that was introduced in 2021, designed to withstand the extreme g-forces that Formula One drivers experience. The Toto Wolff edition, limited to just 100 pieces, boasts a striking design inspired by the colors of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, incorporating PETRONAS green and black tones to reflect the energy and precision of the sport.
The case is crafted from Ceratanium, a material developed by IWC that combines the lightweight properties of titanium with the robustness of ceramic. Measuring 44 mm in diameter and 12.6 mm in thickness, the case is highly durable and incredibly scratch-resistant, making it ideal for extreme environments. It also offers 100 meters of water resistance. The sapphire crystal caseback provides a view into the heart of the watch, where Toto Wolff's signature is also visible.

The black dial features a grainy texture, with triangular black hands coated in Super-LumiNova for optimal legibility in low-light conditions. A floating minute scale, mounted on lamellae, gives the dial a layered appearance. The use of green Super-LumiNova on the shock absorber spring that is manufactured from a bulk metallic glass is inspired by the AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team’s signature color.
Powering the watch is the IWC-manufactured Calibre 32101, an automatic movement operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz), with an impressive 120-hour power reserve. The timepiece is fitted with an integrated green rubber strap and also includes an additional black rubber strap with a textile inlay. The watch is priced at CHF 95,000, aproxamilty AED 387,000.
