First Look The Dual Champion Collaborates with Waqt to Present the Nodus Unity Al Wasl Watch

When I founded Waqt, my goal was to create a community of watch enthusiasts who shared a deep love for the hobby. As I became more involved in this community, I realized that many watch enthusiasts also shared a passion for other hobbies, with sports often being a leading interest. This realization inspired me to align my vision for the Waqt platform with the seamless blending of the worlds of watchmaking and sports.

I have always kept in mind that both the Arab and non-Arab communities, whether citizens or residents, share our passion for watches. Today, on the Waqt platform, we are excited to announce our first collaboration. Given its significance, we wanted to associate this milestone with a highly popular and respected name. It's no secret that football is the most popular sport globally and the leading sport in the United Arab Emirates, the home of the Waqt platform.

Therefore, we are proud to announce our collaboration with the Emirati Al Wasl Football Club, a champion and the most popular club in Dubai. Last season, Al Wasl achieved the two most prestigious local championships: the league and the cup.

Founded in 1960, Al Wasl Football Club is one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the UAE. As the largest club in Dubai, it has a rich history, a passionate fan base, and a strong presence in Emirati football. The club has won numerous domestic titles, including eight UAE Pro League championships and four UAE President's Cups, with the most recent being their second league and cup double in the 2023-2024 season, echoing their success in the 2007-2008 season.

Known as "The Emperor" by its fans due to its dominance in local football during the 1980s and 1990s, the club gained international fame, especially under the leadership of Diego Maradona, who managed the team in the 2011-2012 season. Al Wasl's home matches are played at Zabeel Stadium, an iconic venue in Dubai.

Al Wasl Club is recognized not only for its football achievements but also for its role in promoting sports and community engagement in the UAE. The club remains a symbol of pride in Dubai, constantly striving to uphold its legacy as one of the top teams in the region.

Our collaboration with Al Wasl Club came after extensive efforts and thorough research to select a watch that would honor this prestigious name, while also ensuring that it would be accessible to all age categories of Al Wasl Club fans. For this reason, we chose Nodus, a leading name in the watch industry in the United States, known for producing practical, daily-use watches at affordable prices.

To mark this special occasion, we proudly present the Nodus Unity Al Wasl Special Edition, crafted by the renowned American watch company based in Los Angeles. This edition features a sporty design that seamlessly combines style with functionality, offering a perfect fit for any wrist. delivering a timepiece that resonates with the spirit of sport and precision.

This exclusive timepiece features a sleek and elegant 36.5 mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 11.3 mm. The screw-down crown ensures 150 meters of water resistance, and the stop-seconds function allows for precise time setting. The case back is engraved with the Al Wasl logo and the unique edition number of the 200 pieces.

The watch's yellow dial, inspired by the club's jersey color, prominently displays the logo celebrating Al Wasl's double victory this year in the UAE President's Cup and ADNOC Pro League. The fixed ceramic bezel, polished in yellow, frames the domed sapphire crystal, providing a stunning visual contrast. The sandwich dial boasts a sunray finish that evokes the texture of citrus fruit or tree bark, enhancing the visual appeal against the Super-LumiNova-coated hands and indices. A date window is positioned at 6 o’clock, colored to match the dial.

Powering the watch is the Miyota Caliber 9015 Automatic movement, a Japanese caliber operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) with a power reserve of 41 hours. Nodus ensures the movement’s accuracy to within +/- 8 seconds per day.

The steel bracelet, measuring 20mm at the lugs and tapering to 16mm at the clasp, features the NodeX clasp and is brushed with polished sides on the links.
