Two new additions to the elegant ReSec collection with two bold and distinctive colors
Chronoswiss marked a significant milestone in its history with the introduction of its inaugural wristwatch featuring a regulator dial in 1987, a design innovation that has since become synonymous with Chronoswiss's identity. This distinctive element set the stage for the brand's journey, laying the foundation for a legacy built on precision, elegance, and innovation.
Back in Baselworld 2019, the brand introduced the “Flying Grand Regulator Open Gear ReSec”, aptly named for its function, distinguishing itself through its retrograde seconds display and an innovative 3D dial with handmade guilloché patterns. The highlight of this feature is the retrograde seconds hand positioned at 6 o’clock, which resets to 0 every 30 seconds. Now, as Watches And Wonders open its doors this year, Chronoswiss is launching the ReSec Green Monster Manufacture and Vertical Blue Manufacture models.

The ReSec Green Monster Manufacture draws inspiration from the essence of the 1960s Bonneville race cars. Conceived by a designer captivated by the tale of a 17,000-horsepower behemoth reigning over the salt flats, this watch pays homage to the record-breaking titans of days gone by. The ReSec Vertical Blue Manufacture presents a unique perspective, embodying a redefined sense of elegance. It's a harmonious composition in shades of blue, featuring a dial that shows the brand's avant-garde spirit while retaining its classic aesthetics.
Both timepieces come in a polished Grade 5 titanium case, with a polished bezel adorned with partial knurling, adding a touch of sophistication, while the curved, double-coated anti-reflective sapphire crystal ensures optimal dial visibility. The case measures 42 mm in diameter and 14.2 mm in thickness, and it features an onion crown and a sapphire crystal caseback.

The dial of these timepieces boasts a beautiful 3D construction, featuring hand guilloché patterns on the Green Monster version and Côte de Genève finishing on the Vertical Blue variant, complemented by a CVD coating. The hours are displayed through a subdial with a large pointer at 12 o’clock, while the minutes are indicated with a central minute hand, and the retrograde second hand is positioned at 6 o’clock. The ceramic indexes are coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring readability in all lighting conditions.

Both watches are powered by the Chronoswiss Manufacture Caliber C. 6005, an automatic movement operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz), offering a 55-hour power reserve, with a skeletonized rotor made of tungsten. The timepieces come with a green or blue rubber strap that matches the dial of each watch, and each is limited to 100 pieces.
