Introducing Hublot Unveils the Big Bang Unico Summer 2025

A limited edition with beautiful summer-inspired hues

When Hublot debuted in 1980, it didn’t just launch a brand, it sparked a rebellion. The idea of pairing a luxurious gold case with a rubber strap was unheard of at the time. It was bold, even risky. But it worked. That daring approach, what the brand now calls the “Art of Fusion”, has since propelled Hublot to be one of the forefront of modern watchmaking. From redefining case materials to powering its collections with in-house movements, the Swiss brand has consistently challenged tradition, building a loyal global following in the process.

Among Hublot’s most iconic creations is the Big Bang collection, which exploded onto the scene in 2005. With its unique construction, exposed screws, and award-winning design, it marked a new era in contemporary horology. Two decades on, the Big Bang remains a cornerstone of the brand, evolving each year with editions that feel as revolutionary as the original. This year, it welcomes the Big Bang Unico Summer 2025, a timepiece designed not just for summer, but to embody it.

Housed in vibrant microblasted (sandblasted on a micro level) orange ceramic, the 42mm case makes an immediate impression. At 14.50mm thick, it wears bold yet balanced on the wrist. The sky-blue ceramic bezel, fastened by six titanium H-shaped screws, mirrors the Aegean Sea that inspired it. The caseback continues the colorful theme, combining the same orange ceramic with a sapphire crystal treated for anti-reflection and rated for 100-meter water resistance.

The dial features a fresh matte sky-blue and orange layout, punctuated by skeletonized elements that offer a glimpse into the movement beneath. A bicompax chronograph display is paired with a date window at 3 o’clock, along with luminescent hands and indices.

Powering the watch is the HUB1280 Unico, Hublot’s in-house automatic chronograph movement. This flyback calibre integrates a column-wheel mechanism for crisp actuation and delivers top-tier chronometric performance. It operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 72-hour power reserve. Its 354 components include blue-plated bridges and a tungsten rotor.

Thanks to Hublot’s patented One-Click system, the watch comes with three easily interchangeable rubber straps in sky blue, dark blue, and orange, each with white-lined detailing. The straps are secured with a titanium deployant buckle. Limited to just 100 pieces, the Big Bang Unico Summer 2025 is priced at CHF 28,500, approximately AED 127,000.
