Three editions featuring refreshed designs, each housed in a smaller case and powered by a new in-house movement
This year at Watches & Wonders 2024, Frederique Constant reintroduced the Manufacture Classic with two new models: the Manufacture Classic Date and the Manufacture Classic Moonphase Date. Both models have previously been part of Frederique Constant's collection.
The moonphase model, initially launched in 2015, now offers three color variations. It has undergone two significant upgrades: firstly, it features a brand-new in-house movement with an extended power reserve, and secondly, its size has been reduced from 42mm to 40mm. The most recent edition was a special collaboration with a French designer, Second Second, featuring a 42mm case, which added a unique touch to the collection.
The appeal of these new timepieces lies in the brand's classic design crafted from polished stainless steel. With dimensions measuring 40mm in diameter and a thickness of 12.4mm, it features a wide bezel and the signature onion crown. Additionally, it is protected by an anti-reflective convex sapphire crystal and a crystal sapphire case back, ensuring a water resistance of up to 50 meters.

The dial comes in three options: midnight blue, British racing green, or silvery grey. Each dial features a sunray finish and applied indices to denote the hours, which complement the shape of the hour and minute hands.
The applied indices and hands have meticulously diamond-cut facets and are polished by hand. Notably, the markers at 5 and 7 o’clock are truncated to make space for the sub-dial indicating the date, which is hand-indicated, along with the moon phase. The periphery of the dial is adorned with a railway-style minutes track.
Frederique Constant has introduced a new automatic movement, the calibre FC-716, specifically for these models. Derived from the FC-715, which has been in use since 2015, this new and enhanced movement boasts a larger barrel capable of storing a power reserve of three days or 72 hours, marking an almost 90% increase in autonomy compared to previous movements.
Operating at 28,000 vibrations per hour, the movement features redesigned bridges adorned with fan-shaped Côtes de Genève to accommodate the larger barrel. Additionally, the openworked rotor, finished in golden color, adds a distinctive touch to the movement.
The blue and silver dials come with blue alligator straps, while the green dial is paired with a green alligator strap. all straps comes with a folding buckle. The Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture priced at EURO 3,895 which is equivalent to 15,400 AED.
