Introducing The Italian Brand Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Bvlgari Bvlgari Collection

The collection that stood the test of time with its simplicity and elegance

Simple, yet bold, the Bvlgari Bvlgari collection, which first appeared in 1975 under the name “Bvlgari Roma,” transcends the boundaries of time. As the fiftieth anniversary of its release approaches, these distinctive pieces retain their original beauty and display time in the traditional way, serving as a testament. On elegance. As ever, it is meticulously crafted from fine gold, and on the occasion of LVMH Watch Week, which takes place in Miami, the company is presenting two additions to the collection, offering a choice between the compact size of 26 mm in diameter and the contemporary appeal of a new, more spacious size of 38 mm.

Nearly five decades have passed. The group has witnessed continuous development while maintaining its distinctive and attractive aura. This watch is made of 18-carat gold and was initially presented as a gift to the house’s major clients. After experiencing a renaissance in 2019, Bulgari has revived this icon, giving it a new perspective on elegance and sophistication, complemented by a beautiful modern metal bracelet.

New versions in yellow gold or rose gold, both historic and iconic materials within the collection, are available in two sizes. The former features a case that fits both male and female 38mm with a transparent case back, providing a full view of the mechanical caliber. The second, with a diameter of 26 mm and running on a quartz movement, is only 6.35 mm thick.

New iterations in yellow gold or rose gold, both historical and iconic materials within the collection, are available in two sizes. The first features a gender-neutral and versatile 38 mm case with a transparent caseback, providing a full view of the mechanical caliber. The second, with a 26 mm diameter and a quartz movement, boasts a mere 6.35 mm thickness, exuding an irresistible watch-as-jewelry vibe. “BVLGARI BVLGARI,” engraved with 14 letters on the bezel, reminiscent of the names of emperors on ancient coins, showcases a stroke of aesthetic genius with a powerful magnetism.

In homage to the piece unveiled in 1975, the yellow gold models create a striking contrast with a black dial. Against this backdrop, the gilded condensed Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock, along with the elongated baton indices, stand out. The dial's understated minimalism further accentuates the bold character of the letters stamped on the bezel. In keeping with the original Bulgari Bulgari's design cues, a second version harmonizes rose gold for the case and a silver opaline dial, offering a softer visual appeal.

The mechanical manufacture movement is self-winding, utilizing Caliber BVL191 'solotempo' with seconds, minutes, and hours. It has a thickness of 3.8 mm, a diameter of 26.2 mm, operates at 28,800 vph, and boasts a 42-hour power reserve. Additionally, there is a Quartz movement handling hours and minutes.

The watches feature a brown-beige-black alligator strap, secured with a pin buckle.
