When simplicity and the beauty of natural colors meet on the wrist
If you are a frequent reader at Waqt, you have likely come across several articles about Nodus, the Los Angeles-based watch brand renowned for its daily wear timepieces. Specializing in crafting durable watches with cutting-edge technology, Nodus seamlessly blends beauty and function.
One of the brand's most exceptional releases is the third generation of the Contrail GMT, a stunning collection of timepieces with elegant styles. A perfect example of Nodus’s commitment to aesthetic and functional excellence is the Unity Collection, one of the brand’s most famous and a favorite of our editorial team. This collection draws inspiration from the natural colors and textures of the world around us.
The watches feature a sleek and elegant 36.5 mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 11.3 mm, which makes the Unity the smallest watch in the brand's category. The crown is screwed down, providing 150 meters of water resistance, and when you pull the crown all the way you can fix the time accurately thanks to the stop second function.
The collection is offered in four different colors to suit everyone’s taste. Choose from black for a classic everyday look, yellow for a vibrant summer vibe, light blue for a fresh and casual style, or pink for those who love to have all the attention drawn to their wrist.
The watch features a fixed ceramic bezel that is colored and polished, and surrounding the box domed sapphire crystal. The sandwich dial boasts a stunning sunray finish that evokes the texture of citrus fruit or tree bark, providing a high-contrast visual appeal against the Super-LumiNova coated hands and indices. The dial includes a date window positioned at 6 o’clock, colored to match the dial itself.
The watch is powered by the Miyota Cal. 9015 Automatic caliber, a japanese movement that operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 41 hours. Nodus regulates the accuracy to +/- 8 seconds per day.
The steel bracelet measures 20mm at the lugs and tapers down to 16mm at the clasp, and houses the NodeX clasp. The bracelet is brushed with polished sides on the links. Regardless of the variant you choose, each watch stands out with its unique style and bold use of color, capturing attention with its details and playful color scheme. All the watches offer a good quality-to-price ratio, priced at AED 2,870.
