A beautiful shade of pink inspired by flamingos and the vibrant vibes of Miami
In 2023, Perrelet introduced the Turbine Titanium 41 collection, bringing a fresh perspective to the iconic Turbine line with a more compact 41 mm diameter, a notable shift from the larger 44 mm to 47-48 mm cases of previous models. Drawing inspiration from the second-generation Turbine EVO launched in 2019, this collection marries contemporary design with the signature dynamic aesthetics of Perrelet’s Turbine series. Now, with the new Turbine Pink Flamingo, Perrelet introduces a vibrant addition that embraces a playful, exotic shade of pink, evoking the lively feathers of flamingos and the retro-futuristic vibes of Miami’s energetic atmosphere.
The watch is housed in a 41 mm round case crafted from grade 2 titanium with a black DLC coating, giving it a sleek, modern look. At 13.9 mm thick, the case maintains a balanced profile, and the lightweight titanium construction enhances overall wearability. The fluted crown, adorned with the Perrelet logo, ensures easy grip, while the flat bezel accentuates the watch's modern aesthetics. Vertical grooves on the case band seamlessly connect to the ring securing the sapphire crystal caseback.
The dial features Perrelet’s signature 12-blade turbine in black anodised aluminium, spinning above a lower dial depicting a vivid pink flamingo. This playful touch is inspired by Miami’s lively aesthetic, evoking images of pastel sunsets, tropical palm trees, and energetic cityscapes. As the turbine rotates, it reveals the intricate motif beneath, creating a visual experience reminiscent of aeronautical propellers in motion. The hour track showcases a mix of Arabic numerals and indices embossed on a matte black ring, filled with white Super-LumiNova for optimal legibility in low-light conditions. The dial also features central luminescent hour and minute hands, paired with a seconds hand matching the pink flamingo hue, completing the playful yet functional dial layout.
The watch is powered by the in-house manufactured self-winding P-331-MH calibre, developed by SOPROD, a sister company within the Festina Group, which acquired Perrelet in 2004. This automatic movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 42 hours. Its precision and reliability are certified by both COSC and Chronofiable, ensuring top-tier performance.
Paired with a pink flamingo rubber strap seamlessly integrated with the case’s geometric lugs, the watch fastens with a black DLC-coated titanium pin buckle adorned with the Perrelet logo. The Turbine Pink Flamingo joins Perrelet’s permanent collection at a price of CHF 4,980, approximately AED 20,300.
