A bold and robust watch with a blue dial and orange accents
Certina is a renowned Swiss watch brand under the Swatch Group, and it has been dedicated to the fine art of Swiss watchmaking for over 130 years. The brand is known for its high-quality workmanship and advanced technology. To ensure these high standards, all Certina timepieces undergo strict quality control, exemplified by the robust DS Concept of "Double Security." Introduced in 1959, this concept ensures that every Certina watch is exceptionally resistant, designed to withstand the challenges of everyday life.
In 2017, Certina began a partnership with the non-profit Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC) to help protect sea turtles and their natural environments. This year, Certina continues to support this collaboration with the release of the DS SUPER PH1000M STC, a colorful timepiece inspired by the historic DS SUPER PH1000M from 1970, featuring a captivating blue dial with a bold design, with a portion of the proceeds from each sale supporting STC.
The watch boasts a tonneau-shaped case crafted from brushed stainless steel, measuring 43.50mm in diameter and 14.15mm in thickness. It features a unidirectional bezel with an aluminum ring and a Super-LumiNova triangle, enhanced by a unique security system requiring the bezel to be pushed against the case to rotate. Additionally, the case includes a helium escape valve at the 9 o'clock position, a screw-down crown, and a screwed steel back with a special engraving of the Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC) logo. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, and the watch is robustly water-resistant up to 1,000 meters.

The watch features a blue dial with striking orange accents on the indices and the minute hand. The applied indices and hands are filled with Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent visibility in low-light conditions. Additionally, there is a date window positioned at 3 o'clock.
The watch is powered by the ETA Powermatic 80.611, an automatic movement with an anti-magnetic Nivachron balance spring, which is a titanium-based metal alloy with magnetic resistant properties. Operating at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz) and offering an 80-hour power reserve. It comes with an FKM rubber strap with orange stitching and a steel pin buckle, priced at CHF 915, which is equivalent to AED 3,800.
