Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
Three new diver watches with beautiful hues and a chronograph complication
Founded in 1888 by brothers Adolf and Alfred Kurth in Grenchen, Switzerland, Certina has carved a niche for itself in the world of horology with its robust and sporty timepieces. Known for crafting watches that can endure the demands of various outdoor activities, and a hallmark of Certina's engineering prowess is the DS (Double Security) system, introduced in the 1950s. This innovative feature significantly enhances the durability and water resistance of Certina watches, incorporating elements such as a reinforced caseback, a thicker crystal, and a crown protection system.
Among Certina's diverse collections, the DS Action series stands out, designed to be a reliable companion for underwater exploration, and now welcomes three new chronographs that marks a launch of a new series, DS Action Diver Chrono, with vibrant hues that capture the essence of summer.

The trio comes in a brushed 316L stainless steel with a diameter of 44.6mm and a thickness of 16.17mm. The pushers, crown, and caseback are polished, and the unidirectional rotating bezel features a ceramic insert in blue or black. Additionally, the case is equipped with a sapphire crystal that has an anti-reflective coating. The screw-down crown and screw-down caseback ensure a water resistance of up to 300 meters.

The dial comes in either a sand color with golden accents, featuring gold-toned numerals on the hands, and indices, or in blue and black variants with corresponding ceramic bezel inserts and polished steel hands and indices. All versions are coated with Super-LumiNova. The dial showcases a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock, small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock, and a date window at 6 o'clock.
The watches are powered by the ETA A05.231 caliber, an automatic movement based on the Valjoux 7753. This movement features a silicon balance spring, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), and offers a power reserve of 68 hours.
