Dials Inspired by the Beauty of Desert Dunes and Nights, in the Sand and Night Editions
Czapek unveils two exclusive limited-edition timepieces inspired by the vast beauty of the desert: the Antarctique Passage de Drake Sahara Night and Sahara Sands. From sunlit dunes to midnight skies, these watches pay homage to the ever-changing hues of the desert, seamlessly blending sophisticated craftsmanship with cultural refinement.

Both models feature the brand’s exclusive, registered “Stairway to Eternity” trapezoidal dial motif, now adorned with Eastern-Arabic numerals for a distinctive touch. The warm tones of desert sands and the deep, vibrant blue of the night sky further enhance their visual appeal.
Housed in a sleek 40.5mm stainless steel case, the watches boast a harmonious mix of brushed surfaces and a polished bezel. With a slim profile of just 10.6mm in height, they ensure a comfortable and balanced fit on the wrist. A box-shaped sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating guarantees optimal legibility, while the exhibition caseback, framed by a stainless steel bezel and secured with four screws, provides a captivating view of the movement. A fluted, screw-down crown with crown guards ensures a water resistance of up to 120 meters.

For the first time, the Antarctique Passage de Drake Sahara Sands and Sahara Night feature applied Eastern-Arabic numerals at 12, 3, and 9 o’clock. This contemporary detail perfectly complements the intricate “Stairway to Eternity” dial pattern, an atypical trapezoid dial motif whose three-dimensional stamped surface creates a play of shadows across the dial, reinforcing the exclusivity of this design.
The date display at 6 o’clock also incorporates matching Eastern-Arabic numerals on the date disc. The sword-shaped hands and three-dimensional indices ensure excellent readability while adding a dynamic, sporty touch.
At the heart of these models beats the SXH5 automatic caliber, Czapek’s first fully in-house-developed movement. This high-performance caliber delivers a robust 60-hour power reserve and features a platinum micro-rotor. Seamlessly blending traditional haute horlogerie techniques with modern innovations, the movement showcases exquisite craftsmanship, including state-of-the-art laser engravings.
The gear train is supported by seven beautifully skeletonized bridges, their intricate design reminiscent of lacework. These bridges draw inspiration from 19th-century pocket watches while also echoing the contemporary aesthetic of the Czapek Faubourg de Cracovie chronograph’s rotor.
The integrated stainless steel bracelet further enhances the watch’s elegance, featuring a striking contrast of brushed and highly polished ‘C’-shaped links, a subtle nod to Czapek. It also includes a quick-change system, allowing effortless swaps between a rubber or leather strap, and features a micro-adjustment mechanism for enhanced comfort.
Each edition is strictly limited to 25 pieces, priced at CHF 23,000 (approximately AED 93,000).
