A New Collaboration in Four Limited Editions, Showcasing the Regulator Design with German Flair
Louis Erard introduces a new Regulateur design, as we have come to expect from them, with the Louis Erard Le Régulateur x Kudoke, created in collaboration with the german watchmaker Stefan Kudoke, one of most prominent independent watchmakers. Kudoke established his own company in 2005 and gained recognition for his unique designs. His successes culminated in 2018 with the introduction of his first movement, the Kudoke 2, which earned him the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in 2019.
In recent years, Louis Erard has gained fame for two main reasons: exceptional collaborations with major names and its iconic Regulateur watches. We explored this design and the philosophy behind the Regulateur in depth in a previous article.
According to CEO Manuel Emch, all of Louis Erard's collaborations focus on high-quality, distinctive designs combined with affordable pricing. Now, the brand unveils new timepieces created in partnership with Kudoke.
The Louis Erard Le Régulateur x Kudoke features a polished stainless steel case with a diameter of 42 mm, larger than the previous 39 mm collaboration with Cédric Johner As the CEO told us, they explored several different sizes. It has a thickness of 12.25 mm and is complemented by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The transparent, engraved caseback offers water resistance up to 50 meters.
Four limited editions are available: light blue, purple, forest green, and mother of pearl. The Le Régulateur incorporates Kudoke's signature design elements, including a vertical Regulateur layout with a guilloché Clous de Paris pattern on a rhodium-plated plate at 12 o'clock.
The main plate in the three colored editions features a grained and frosted finish, while the mother of pearl version showcases a distinctive texture. Roman numerals and dots mark the quarters, with the seconds subdial at 6 o'clock matching the main dial color and surrounded by a rhodium-plated ring. The minute hand is centrally located, and all hands are blued steel, in Kudoke's style. A rhodium-plated minute track encircles the dial, with satin-finished plates at 3 and 9 o'clock displaying "Louis Erard" and "Kudoke."The watch is powered by the automatic Sellita SW266-1 movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 38-hour power reserve. The openworked oscillating weight is decorated by Cédric Johner.
The Regulateur is available on a grey, light grey, or beige grained calf leather strap with tone-on-tone stitching and black leather lining. The strap color corresponds to the dial and is secured with a polished stainless steel pin buckle.
The blue and green dial editions are limited to 100 pieces each, while the purple and mother of pearl dials are limited to 78 pieces each. The blue, green, and purple editions are priced at CHF 4,000 (approximately AED 16,800), while the mother of pearl edition is priced at CHF 4,500 (approximately AED 20,100).
