A blast from the past with a modern unique twist
After AMIDA made its return in April 2024 with the iconic Digitrend, it was nominated for the prestigious GPHG 2024 'Petite Aiguille' award. First captivating watch enthusiasts in 1976 with its revolutionary retro-futuristic aesthetics and Space Age allure, the Digitrend now reappears in two striking versions: the Digitrend Black & Gold Editions.
Similar to the version released earlier this year, the design takes inspiration from 1970s sports cars, seamlessly blending a futuristic aesthetic with hybrid functionality. It combines a mechanical movement with a distinctive "LED-style" display, delivering both innovation and nostalgia. Crafted from brushed and polished 316L stainless steel, the watch is available in two finishes: sleek black DLC and bold 4N gold PVD. The case has been subtly refined with enhanced finishing while maintaining its signature streamlined silhouette.
Both variants measure 39.6mm in width, 39mm in depth, and 15.6mm in thickness, ensuring a comfortable fit on any wrist. Instead of a conventional dial, the time is displayed through a sapphire prism, reminiscent of a sports car dashboard or the control panel of a spacecraft, adding to its retro-futuristic charm.

The watch is powered by the Soprod Newton caliber, an automatic movement operating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) with a power reserve of approximately 44 hours, and its regulating organ is visible through the caseback. Each variant is available with a matching stainless steel bracelet or an anthracite Alcantara leather strap featuring orange calfskin lining.
Launched as part of the brand’s permanent, non-limited collection, the watches will be available on the brand's website from November 20, with deliveries starting in early December. Pricing begins at CHF 3,250 / AED 13,450 for the Alcantara strap option, with a CHF 350 / AED 1,450 surcharge for the black DLC stainless steel bracelet or for the 4N gold PVD-treated bracelet, making the total CHF 3,500 / AED 14,500 for each of these upgraded variants.
