The F77 enters a new chapter with a bold twist
After relaunching in 2020, Nivada Grenchen has steadily revived its vintage icons, including the luxury sport F77 from 1977, which Mr. Trestan introduced to us during last year’s Watches & Wonders.
Now, the brand is releasing the F77 Mark II, refining the previous reissue with a slimmer case and updated styling. The case now measures 38mm in diameter, slightly wider than the 2023 version (37mm), but is thinner at 12.2mm (down from 12.65mm). It features a mix of brushed and polished surfaces and is available in either stainless steel or 18k yellow gold-plated steel (with a 7-micron layer). The case also sports an octagonal bezel with eight exposed screws, a double-domed sapphire crystal, and a solid caseback that ensures 100 metres of water resistance.

The dial introduces a onyx surface, replacing previous textured or patterned alternatives. Baton-style hands and the removal of the optional date window contribute to a cleaner, more minimalist display. Applied indices and the logo at 12 o’clock are accompanied by a minute/seconds track, dotted with Super-LumiNova for improved legibility in low light.
Inside, the Mark II retains the reliable Soprod P024 automatic movement. It beats at 28,800vph (4Hz) and offers a 38-hour power reserve. While the movement includes a date function, it is not used in this model.
The integrated three-link bracelet has been redesigned for improved ergonomics and now features a tool-free micro-adjustment clasp. Drilled lugs allow users to easily swap in optional Velcro fabric or rubber straps.

The watch is available for preorder now, with deliveries expected by mid-June 2025. It retails for CHF 1,440, approximately AED 6,450 in stainless steel and CHF 1,640, approximately AED 7,300 for the gold-plated version.
