An elegant timepiece with Grand Feu Enamel dial inspired by an iconic pocket watch from 1900s
Edouard Koehn was founded in 1891 in Geneva by the Swiss master watchmaker Edouard Koehn, who aimed to combine traditional craftsmanship with innovative design. Now, the brand unveils its latest addition to its catalogue, the "Legacy Rattrapante Chronograph”, a result of a close collaboration with 10Ten Labs, Edouard Koehn’s exclusive distributor in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
The watch features a 40mm case crafted from polished 316L stainless steel, with a thickness of 14.60mm. It includes rectangular pushers located at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock, facilitating easy control of the chronograph functions—start/stop and reset. A coaxial pusher integrated with the fluted crown manages the split-seconds function. The dial and movement are protected by a sapphire crystal with a double-sided anti-reflective coating for optimal clarity and durability.
The watch features a hand-crafted white Grand Feu Enamel dial decorated with black numerals, accompanied by minute and seconds tracks marked with red accents every five minutes. The red central chronograph seconds hand is activated by a pusher at 2 o’clock, while the split seconds chronograph function is elegantly indicated by a blue hand, with the pusher at 4 o’clock set to reset the chronograph.
The watch was constructed such that it replicates the dial layout of the brand’s original pocket watch chronograph produced in the early 1900s. The 60-minute chronograph counter is positioned at 12 o’clock, and the small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, which features a red hand.
The Legacy Rattrapante is driven by a proprietary movement created in collaboration with Concepto. This watch features a cam-operated chronograph with split-seconds functionality. Its dial layout pays homage to the 1900 pocket watch, showcasing a 60-minute instantaneous counter at the 12 o’clock position. This caliber operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 48-hour power reserve, consisting of 282 components. It is elegantly decorated with Côtes de Genève stripes. It comes with a black alligator strap, secured to the wrist with a steel folding buckle. This is a limited edition of just 50 pieces, priced at CHF 15,800, which is equivalent to AED 69,500.
